Welcome to The Vault Unlocking Potential
"Without prejudice knowledge is power"
Community advocacy is a powerful tool for promoting positive change and ensuring that everyone's voice is heard. By championing their communities and advocating for better services, advocates can help address social inequalities and develop initiatives that are led by the community. Some great examples of these initiatives include 'Thinking Outside of the Plot' and 'Lost the Plot,' which have helped to establish new, inclusive services that benefit everyone.

Community Advocacy
Community advocacy is a crucial service that provides support to individuals who may face difficulties expressing themselves or feel neglected.
It is designed to empower those who are vulnerable due to disability illness, or age, and advocates help them navigate various challenges they encounter.
These services are confidential, complimentary, and offered by autonomous advocates who act based on the consent of the person they represent.
Advocates can assist individuals in voice amplification, composing letters, making phone calls, and accompanying meetings.
Thinking Outside Of The Plot
The Vault Unlocking Potential has initiated a community garden scheme in response to the cost of living crisis.
What are the benefits of community gardens?
Community gardens offer numerous benefits on both personal and community levels, including:
Improved mental health: Research indicates that gardening and exposure to natural environments can alleviate stress, enhance mood, and promote overall well-being.
Increased food security: For many in low-income communities, access to fresh, nutritious food is a challenge. Community gardens offer a means to cultivate high-quality produce affordably.
Enhanced community engagement: These gardens provide a venue for individuals to connect and build relationships, nurturing a sense of community and attachment to the local environment.
Environmental benefits: Community gardens contribute to greener spaces, which help mitigate air pollution, encourage biodiversity, and expand habitats for local wildlife.
We are actively seeking feedback on the project and recruiting volunteers. If you wish to share your thoughts, please use the Microsoft form link provided.
